The Perfect Course
Grazyna Szczepaniak Hayward is a Polish-born Piano teacher who emigrated to Great Britain 46 years ago.
She has a 100% ABRSM pass record, untarnished by over eighteen years of teaching. She currently teaches around forty pupils, many of whom are adults.
Pupils from the age of four are welcome at this home-based Piano Studio situated in Caerwys, purpose-built and fitted with two Kawai upright pianos.
The Suzuki Method
Using the Suzuki Method, Grazyna is able to turn novice into advanced in a very short space of time.
I want to make good citizens. If a child hears fine music from the day of his birth and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart.
—Shin'ichi Suzuki
Developed by Shin'ichi Suzuki, a japanese violinist, in the mid-20th Century this school of music education methodology is modelled on how a child learns a language.
Suzuki was convinced that if the learning steps were small enough, a child, every child, is capable of learning a musical instrument just as they would their mother tongue. He called it "talent education".

Results
Suzuki can rest assured that his method achieves his aims: not a single student under the instruction of Grazyna has failed an ABRSM exam. Yet aside from examinations and certified achievements, most importantly of all students grow to love the piano, and to love music; to get "a beautiful heart".
